In honor of Been Trill's (featuring Virgil Abloh, Matthew Williams, Heron Preston, Justin Saunders) highly anticipated debut in Toronto, we embarked on an exciting collaboration to create a limited edition series of Been Trill x Nomad t-shirts. The tees showcased the iconic Been Trill font and were locally printed, with production completed just a week prior to their arrival. Despite a tight timeline, we managed to capture a captivating campaign and released the collection to the world with minimal marketing.
Building on the success of the initial collaboration, the V.2 collection was introduced during Been Trill's second visit to Toronto a few months later, coinciding with their involvement in Kanye West's Yeezus tour. This collection expanded to include long sleeve tees and hats, broadening the range of offerings. The launches of both collections proved to be monumental successes, generating over $200,000 in merchandise sales combined.
The collaborations not only celebrated the talent and vision of Been Trill but also showcased the strong demand and enthusiastic support from the Toronto community and beyond.
